We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a national charity that prioritises people and service. This is a full-time, office-based role, providing an exciting opportunity to support the central team and wider organisation by maintaining and developing critical IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining the charity's IT systems in a responsive, customer-focused manner, supporting approximately 250 office-based and remote users.
Your role will include:
- Resolving second- and third-line support tickets
- Advising colleagues on IT matters
- Managing security for laptops, desktops and tablets
- Performing proactive infrastructure maintenance
- Ensuring compliance with standards
This role offers exposure to a broad range of enterprise IT systems, providing the chance to make a significant impact on operational efficiency across the organisation.
Essential proven experience and expertise in:
- Supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, including Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Windows 11, Office 365 / Microsoft 365, backup, monitoring/SNMP, SMTP/Exchange, IIS, Dell servers and storage, and print management solutions
- Server administration, database administration, and application support
- IT support services and ticketing, including laptop, mobile device, and network support
- Communicating technical issues clearly to colleagues at all levels
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting across complex IT environments
- Customer-focused service delivery, demonstrating knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to get things done
- Organisational skills, including planning, prioritising, and managing workloads effectively
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities
