Location: Home-based, with travel across the region for meetings and events

Salary: £35,700 | Contract: 2-year FTC

Overview:

We’re looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Regional Membership Manager to support and grow our member community in the East of England. You’ll be the local face of a well-respected professional membership body, connecting members, volunteers, and partners, and helping to bring our regional activities to life. You’ll have a mix of responsibilities – from leading volunteers and committees, to organising events and awards, to building relationships with local authorities, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Your work will help members feel valued, supported, and inspired, while contributing to the wider goals of the organisation.

The role:

  • Acting as the main contact for members in the region, championing the value of membership.
  • Recruiting, supporting, and managing volunteers and committees to deliver CPD, networking, early-career initiatives, and awards programmes.
  • Planning and running regional events, from workshops to social gatherings and annual celebrations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, professional bodies, sponsors, and partners.
  • Supporting organisation-wide projects and initiatives with local insight and input.
  • Keeping member records up to date and ensuring data protection compliance.

Your skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience within professional membership management, volunteer coordination, and running events.
  • Comfortable using databases, digital communications, and social media professionally.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Flexible to travel across the region, including occasional evenings or overnight stays.
  • Interested in planning, the built environment, or related areas.
