Procurement & Resettlement Officer (Accommodation for Ex-Offenders)

Location: London | Pay: £31.24/hr (umbrella)

Duration: Temporary until end of March 2026

What You’ll Do:

  • Source and negotiate suitable private rented accommodation for ex-offenders.
  • Provide hands-on resettlement and ongoing tenancy support to prevent breakdowns and repeat homelessness.
  • Coordinate resources like furniture, travel, and essentials to help tenants start successfully.
  • Work closely with landlords, agencies, and statutory partners to ensure smooth placements.
  • Maintain oversight of tenancies, affordability, and welfare support, keeping accurate records and reporting progress.

Your experience

  • Experience supporting vulnerable people, particularly those at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
  • Property procurement experience, including working with private landlords and letting agents.
  • Knowledge of tenancy sustainment, welfare benefits, and housing legislation.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, travel across London, and manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

Housing / Homelessness Qualifications

  • Level 2/3 Certificate in Housing Practice or equivalent
  • Level 3/4 Diploma in Housing or Homelessness Studies

Social Care / Support Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or Working with Vulnerable Adults
  • Safeguarding or mental health awareness training

Project / Procurement Skills (Desirable)

Property procurement, tenancy management, or landlord engagement

Project management qualification (PRINCE2 Foundation or similar) could be a bonus
