An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing Building Services team based in London. This role is ideally suited to an ambitious and technically strong Electrical Engineer with a background in MEP/building services design who enjoys autonomy, innovation and collaborative project delivery.

As Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will be working for a global engineering consultancy with sustainability at the heart of everything it does. Its mission is to help shape a more sustainable built environment through the design of high-performing, energy-efficient buildings, while continually raising the standards of MEP engineering across the industry.

Working across sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and public sector developments, the team delivers technically challenging projects with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and collaborative design.

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, the successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of a diverse range of projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders, they will take ownership of electrical design elements while also mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the team.

The position offers a high level of autonomy and would suit someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions within a collaborative environment.

  • Leading electrical engineering elements on selected projects
  • Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Delivering technically excellent electrical design solutions
  • Working across projects from inception through to completion

Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards preferred). HNC/HND qualified candidates with relevant design experience will also be considered.

Minimum 3–4 years’ building services design experience post qualification.

Experience using software including Microsoft Office, Relux/Dialux, Amtech and Revit.

Strong knowledge of British & European Standards and Building Regulations.

Appreciation of mechanical engineering principles.
