We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor to join a supportive and high-performing legal team within a local authority setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor or barrister with in-depth knowledge of adult social care law and local government practice.

  • Provide expert legal advice on adult social care matters, including Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding, ordinary residence, and Court of Protection work.
  • Manage a varied caseload independently, delivering high-quality written and verbal advice to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Support and collaborate with colleagues across the wider legal services team, ensuring compliance with statutory and policy frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX).
  • Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and related legislation.
  • Previous local authority or public sector legal experience is highly desirable.

Competitive day rate circa £430 per day (umbrella/PAYE). Predominantly remote working with flexibility to attend the office 12 days per week.
