We are working with a public sector organisation to appoint an experienced Contract Manager to oversee estate services across a large housing portfolio in West London. This role is about ensuring residents live in safe, clean, and well-maintained estates. You will be responsible for managing key contracts, leading a small monitoring team, and driving improvements in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor cleaning and grounds maintenance contracts, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are achieved.
  • Lead and support a team of 4 Contract Monitoring Officers.
  • Hold monthly contractor meetings and produce performance reports.
  • Analyse service data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work directly with residents, responding to complaints and queries.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Support projects that promote sustainability and environmental goals.
  • Attend occasional resident and stakeholder meetings outside core hours.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven background in estate services contract management – cleaning and grounds maintenance are essential.
  • Experience managing contract monitoring teams.
  • Confident working with KPIs, reporting, and performance management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Good data analysis skills and IT proficiency (MS Office, contract systems).
  • Ability to deliver improvements and manage change effectively.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to manage deadlines in a busy environment.
