Contract Manager – Estate Services (Full-Time, Office-Based) Department: Housing Reports to: Strategic Head of Place Rate: £400 per day (Umbrella) Grade: PO5 Responsible for: 4 x Contract Monitoring Officers Location: Hammersmith & Fulham – Office-based (no hybrid working) The RoleWe’re seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead the delivery of two key estate services contracts – cleaning and grounds maintenance – ensuring high standards right across our estates. This is a full-time, office-based position offering £400 per day (umbrella). You’ll play a pivotal role in managing contractor performance, supporting a small team, and keeping our neighbourhoods clean, safe, and well-kept for residents. Key Responsibilities Manage and monitor two major contracts for cleaning and grounds maintenance. Lead, coach, and support four Contract Monitoring Officers. Hold regular performance meetings with contractors and monitor KPIs and SLAs. Oversee inspections, identify improvements, and ensure high-quality outcomes. Work with residents and internal teams to swiftly resolve issues. Produce performance reports and analyse data to improve service delivery. Ensure compliance with health & safety, and align actions with the Council’s climate commitments.About You Proven background in contract management, ideally within housing or estate services. Strong leadership and communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Confident managing performance data, reports, and contractor relationships. IT literate with good analytical ability. Positive and professional attitude with a commitment to resident satisfaction. Must be available to work full-time on site in Hammersmith & Fulham
