Red Oak Recovery Center is a clinically dynamic, trauma intensive substance abuse and adult men's mental health treatment program designed specifically to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our focus is on clinical care, and we utilize the latest research-supported clinical modalities to ensure positive outcomes. We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (Part Time) to provide medical management and services to clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct new client intakes
- Participate in accurate and detailed management of all client medications
- Participate in medication administration as needed
- Ensure effective documentation of all medication administration in assigned timeframe
- Communicate with and update client’s parent/family, if applicable, on any medical concerns
- Provide medication administration support to direct care staff and ensure that proper medical documentation and quality control occurs
- Provide medical check-ins with clients and be the primary medical care provider while on base
- Participate in a rotating on call schedule
- Be available for medical consultation/expertise for all base/field scenarios when on call
- Support campus RN as required
- Collaborate with campus RN to keep client charts up to date
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- Current North Carolina state licensure as an LPN
- Experience in Substance Abuse/Mental Health
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Position Type/Expected Hours
- This is a part-time position
- Evenings and weekends as required
- Position requires onsite employment
- Weekday business hours coverage when campus RN is out
