Red Oak Garage is a small but busy family-owned business, staffed by a team of 8. We are open Monday - Friday, committed to providing top quality car repairs and maintenance servicing for our valued customers.
As a vehicle technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various different vehicles. Your main responsibilities will include the following:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as servicing, and cambelts
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles
- Repair and replacement of engines
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify any potential problems or hazards
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose issues
- Ability to use a tablet to update jobs, see which work has been assigned to you, and record all maintenance and repair work carried out
Skills required:
- Strong mechanical knowledge, minimum of 5 years experience working as a vehicle technician
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Work well under pressure
- Ability to work well within a team
- Good spoken English
- Driving licence
- MOT tester preferable, however this is not essential
- NVQ Level 3, or equivalent
A base salary up to 37,000 is offered, with OTE up to 45,000 per annum. We offer regular training, a performance bonus and overtime each month.
