Red Loft is a housing development and regeneration consultancy based in London. We work with Registered Providers, Local Authorities and Developers throughout London, the South East and South West. Our work includes managing development projects from concept through to completion, as well as a diverse range of development consultancy advice and services, including feasibility reports, financial viability assessments, land finding and agency, development strategies and procedures, development mentoring and training, Homes England and GLA compliance, and Shared Ownership sales, marketing and letting services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person seeking a career as a development professional to gain exposure to a wide range of housing development and regeneration projects. Working alongside experienced consultants, you will support clients from early feasibility and strategy stages through planning, procurement and delivery, while developing expertise in development appraisal, viability, project management and regeneration.
We are looking for a candidate to support and deliver across the full range of activity undertaken by our Development Consultancy Team. This includes:
- Project Management: Support the development team throughout different RIBA stages, including assisting with the progression of projects from planning through to on-site delivery of new homes.
- Risk Management: Support the management and monitoring of project risks and contribute to the maintenance of project risk registers.
- Financial Viability & Appraisals: Assist with the preparation of financial appraisals, scheme viability reports, risk maps, project programmes and cashflow forecasts, developing a strong understanding of development viability and delivery.
- Policies & Procedures: Support clients with the preparation and implementation of development procedures and project documentation.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants and other stakeholders, supporting effective project delivery and helping to foster opportunities for future growth.
- Reporting & Presentations: Prepare clear and concise reports for internal and external audiences and assist with the preparation and delivery of presentations.
- General Duties: Carry out other duties as may reasonably be assigned by Directors, Partners and other members of the senior management team.
Qualifications:
- Educated to honours degree level (minimum 2:2) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong organisational skills, with a proactive and resourceful approach to work.
- Enthusiastic and committed to continuous professional development.
- A passion for the built environment and creating successful places and communities.
- Strong commercial awareness and an interest in housing development and regeneration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing a high standard of client service.
- Willing to work in the Red Loft office a minimum of 3 days per week to learn from and collaborate with colleagues.
- Willing to travel to sites across London and the South East as required.
- Ability to manage deadlines and support multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
Desirable:
- An understanding of the differences between working within a consultancy environment and a housing organisation.
- An interest in the affordable housing sector and an awareness of the key policy and regulatory framework.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- RICS or RTPI accredited degree, with an interest in working towards professional chartership.
