Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy waste management and recycling facility. In this role, you will:
- Manage production processes and lead a dedicated team of staff.
- Supervise waste operations, including shredding, baling, and jetting.
- Support the Operations Manager in achieving operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Drive production efficiency and provide detailed reports on plant performance.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in heavy industry, ideally within waste management (e.g., Hazardous Waste Transfer Station Supervisor, Senior Operative, or Site Chemist).
- A valid FLT/Forklift licence is highly desirable.
- Strong background in production or process operations, with the ability to motivate and focus a team.
- Preferably, experience in recycling, hazardous waste operations, industrial services, or a related field.
Desirable Qualifications (Not Essential)
- COTC / WAMITAB / Certificate of Technical Competence
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification
- Auditing experience
- Leadership Training / ILM
