An excellent opportunity for a chemistry/science qualified Technical Assessor to work at a professional hazardous waste management company.

Salary: £Negotiable depending on experience.

Location: Oxfordshire.

Previous roles may have been: Technical Assessor, Technical Support Chemist, Site Chemist.

Role: This role does not involve a great deal of physical chemistry and mainly draws upon applying your chemistry knowledge. You will use your knowledge of chemistry to assess incoming waste streams based on information provided by the sales team, ensure they are classified correctly and identify correct cost and route of disposal.

Experience: You will have an HNC in Chemistry, or a Science degree with 4 modules listed on your degree that have chemistry in the title. Words like analytical, laboratory or chemical do not count. Experience working in the hazardous waste sector for at least a year is essential, working as a Technical Assessor or as a Site Chemist with Technical Assessor duties. You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication, and be competent in Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of directly interfacing with a client would be desirable.

Other non-essential qualifications that would be advantageous: WAMITAB COTC IOSH or NEBOSH safety qualification or similar.
