RESPONSIBILITIES

• Competently carry out operational activities within the boiler house and turbine hall, ensuring adherence to safety, professionalism, cost-effectiveness, and timely execution in line with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Shift Team Leader to maintain the efficient day‑to‑day operation of the plant, maximizing plant availability and optimizing performance at the state‑of‑the‑art facility.
• Provide assistance to the Shift Team in operating the plant, ensuring compliance with all company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Operation of mobile plant and machinery.
• Operation of weighbridge.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• GCSE or equivalent; technical certification in power plant operations preferred.
• Proven experience in process, production or manufacturing environment, showcasing a strong understanding of plant equipment and processes.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, procedures, and legal requirements related to power plant operations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from the Shift Team Leader.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Electrical / Mechanical / Fixed Plant / Chemical Process / Power Plant experience.
• HNC / HNC preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) is beneficial.
• Slinging / Lifting or FLT (Fork Lift Truck) certification would be advantageous.
