TITLE: Operations Director / General Manager – Waste Management & Recycling
SALARY: Negotiable DOE Circa £70-120K plus package
LOCATION: Northwest
PREVIOUS ROLES MAY HAVE BEEN: Operations Director, MRF Operations Manager, General Manager, Aggregates Recycling Manager, Managing Director, Head of Operations, MBT Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Area Manager, MRF Production Manager
YOU WILL HAVE WORKED IN: Metal Recycling, Skip Hire, Materials Recovery Facility, Mechanical Biological Treatment, Aggregates Recycling, Biomass, Dry Mixed Recycling, Glass Recycling or similar
ROLE: Operations Director / General Manager – Waste Management & Recycling
You will be responsible for multiple waste processing operations
You will manage a sizable team through line managers
You will manage P&L and deliver a profitable operation and identify growth opportunities
You will manage maintenance and strive to minimise downtime
You will look to deliver improvements to safety, quality and production levels while minimising costs
EXPERIENCE: Operations Director / General Manager – Waste Management & Recycling
To be considered you MUST have a background in waste / recyclate processing, this could be in: Metal Recycling, Skip Hire, Materials Recovery Facility, Mechanical Biological Treatment, Aggregates Recycling, Biomass, Dry Mixed Recycling, Glass Recycling or similar
You will be a strong man manager
You will have experience managing production in waste and either have also directly managed engineering or have been heavily involved in it
Useful qualifications COTC / WAMITAB, CPC, IOSH, NEBOSH, and Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
You will be commercially astute and have managed P&L
The level of the role is flexible depending on the level of the right candidate this could range from Operations Manager to Managing director, you may have been: Operations Director, MRF Operations Manager, General Manager, Aggregates Recycling Manager, Managing Director, Head of Operations, MBT Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Area Manager, MRF Production Manager
