They are now looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join their team to work on a wide range of equipment. SALARY: Up to £50k – £60k + OT + pension LOCATION: Ilford, Essex You may have worked in the following industries: Quarrying, Aggregates Composting, Anaerobic Digestion, Landfill, EfW, MBT, MRF, Plastic, Metal, Waste Management, Recycling, Manufacturing, Materials Processing, Fabrication, Power Plant, Wood Recycling, Plasterboard PREVIOUS TITLES (not exhaustive): Heavy Plant Fitter, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Engineer, Plant Technician, Service Engineer, Mobile Plant Fitter ROLE: In this position, you will be responsible for repairing and servicing a range of Heavy Plant equipment across multiple manufactuers including JCB, CAT and Liebherr. Machinery includes Loading Shovels, 360 Grabs, Excavators, Shredders, Shears, Balers etc. You will complete preventative maintenance on engines, motors and all moving parts. You will also work with operations manuals, diagrams and sketches. You will work within site Health and Safety procedures and company policies. You will be required to fix Heavy Plant equipment on- site, this company has a fully covered workshop complete with tools and heavy cranes for repairs and servicing. EXPERIENCE: Experience as a Heavy Plant / Multi-skilled Mechanical Maintenance Fitter / Mobile Maintenance Technician in a heavy industry background is essential, you will have experience with hydraulics and have worked on Fixed and Mobile Plant equipment. You will have ideally undertaken an engineering apprenticeship and be a Qualified Mechanical Engineer / Heavy Plant Fitter / Maintenance Technician – C & G/ NVQ / HNC etc. Any electrical qualifications would also be highly beneficial. Alternatively, you will also be considered if you are time-served or qualified in your chosen field i.e. Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Technician to C & G / NVQ / HNC / HND level. Ideally you would have worked in the Waste Management sector and preferably have experience with electrics.
