EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED MECHANICAL ENGINEER – PLANT HIRE REQUIRED TO JOIN AN ESTABLISHED PLANT HIRE COMPANY TITLE: Mechanical Service Engineer – Plant Hire SALARY: £13.50 – £18.00 per hour DOE Pension Scheme 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays, to increase with length of service up to 25 days + Bank Holidays LOCATION: Exeter, South West HOURS: 42.5 per week, Flexibility on daily hours depending on site based or out on the road Overtime Available, X1.5for first four hours on a Sat, after at x2, Sunday and Bank Holidays x2 CLIENT: Our client is well recognised within the plant Hire Industry, now seeking an experienced workshop and mobile service and maintenance Engineer to work on a range of heavy plant and construction equipment PREVIOUS ROLES: Mechanical Engineer, Plant Fitter, Maintenance Technician, Service Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Plant Technician, Service Technician, Mechanical Technician, Plant Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Multi-skilled Technician BACKGROUND: Ideal Experience, Plant Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, Plant Service, Plant Repair, Plant Maintenance ROLE: Mechanical Engineer – Plant Hire As the Mechanical Engineer you will service and maintain a range of construction equipment. Including regular monitoring and replenishment of lubricants and fluids. Preventative maintenance and fault reporting are integral to ensuring optimal performance. Duties also involve cleaning, inspecting, and preparing equipment for transfer or redeployment, fitting replacement parts as needed, and collaborating with team members on larger maintenance and repair tasks. UK Driving Licence is essential for this role, you will predominately be based at the local workshop, however when required you will travel to different depots. EXPERIENCE: Mechanical Engineer – Plant Hire A strong mechanical knowledge base is essential, along with an understanding of risk assessments and method statements. Experience with heavy plant, construction equipment, and hydraulic systems. An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in plant maintenance would also be advantageous.
