LGV/HGV DRIVER – CLASS 1 ADR ENVIROMENTAL REQUIRED FOR LEADING LOGISTICS AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT SERVICES COMPANY TITLE: LGV/HGV DRIVER – CLASS 1 ADR SALARY: £34k 33 days holiday including 4 public holidays Pension Scheme Life Assurance Eyecare Vouchers LOCATION: Based in Middlesborough and Great Yarmouth Area HOURS: Mon-Fri 45 Hours per week with 45 mins paid break per day – Must be flexible PREVIOUS INDUSTRIES: Hazardous waste transportation, Chemical waste collection and delivery, Liquid waste disposal services, Bulk waste haulage, Tanker services (sewage, sludge, chemicals), Drainage and gully cleaning, Industrial cleaning and decontamination, Emergency spill response, Pollution control logistics, ADR-compliant transport of dangerous goods, Clinical waste transportation, Asbestos waste collection, Waste transfer station delivery/collection, Site waste clearance (hazardous and non-hazardous), Contaminated soil removal, Recycling and recovery transport, Sludge and effluent transport, High-pressure water jetting support (with tankers), Interceptor cleaning and waste removal YOU MAY HAVE BEEN: Fuel Delivery Driver, Gas Cylinder Delivery Driver, Chemical Waste Transport Driver, Industrial Gas Driver, Explosives or Class 1 ADR Driver, DGSA Assistant, HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 ADR Driver, ADR Tanker Driver, Hazardous Goods Driver ROLE: LGV/HGV DRIVER – CLASS 1 ADR You will be an experienced LGV/HGV Class 1 Driver with Tanks ADR Licence and will be responsible for carrying out driving duties safely and efficiently, including operating waste vacuum road tankers and curtain-sided vehicles. The role involves long-distance driving with overnight stays. You will be expected to handle and transport various hazardous materials, operate curtain-sided vehicles, and inspect and maintain associated equipment such as pumps, valves, tanks, hoses, and couplings. Accurate completion of customer and regulatory paperwork is essential, as is ensuring all activities comply with company procedures and legal regulations. EXPERIENCE: LGV/HGV DRIVER – CLASS 1 ADR You will hold a Class 1 LGV Licence, ADR License, Tanks Dangerous Goods by Road Certificate, and a Digi Tachograph Card. You will have experience in road tanker operations, specifically in the safe transport and handling of flammable, corrosive, and toxic materials. A thorough understanding of waste documentation and special waste handling is essential, along with familiarity with safety procedures related to tanker and waste operations. COSHH awareness is a desirable qualification.
