SALES MANAGER / COMMERCIAL MANAGER / KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER WITH A COMMERCIAL BACKGROUND IN QUARRYING, AGGREGATES OR CEMENT REQUIRED FOR PIVOTAL ROLE TITLE: Commercial Manager – Quarrying & Aggregates Key Accounts SALARY: Circa £47-55K plus Car or £7K Allowance, Bonus, Pension (5%/6%) and benefits LOCATION: Wakefield area, West Yorks PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THE QUARRY & AGGREGATES OR CEMENT SECTOR MAY HAVE BEEN: Sales Manager, Commercial Manager, Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager ROLE: Commercial Manager – Quarrying & Aggregates Key Accounts You will be responsible for the Commercial success of a Quarrying and Aggregates business You will manage key accounts and to improve spend, you will also look for new business opportunities You will manage a small team Develop and implement effective pricing strategies, while overseeing quotations and tenders Track and evaluate haulage contractor performance to drive delivery efficiency Collaborate with site and transport teams to align production schedules with demand Ensure all commercial activities support company goals and stay within budget Monitor KPIs, deliver performance reports, and contribute to strategic planning EXPERIENCE: Commercial Manager – Quarrying & Aggregates Key Accounts Demonstrated sales and managerial expertise in quarrying or recycling sectors In-depth understanding of aggregates, recycled materials Ideally some hands-on experience with inert waste acceptance and recycling processes Proficient in core IT tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Exceptional leadership and communication abilities Proven capacity to lead change, foster high-performing teams, and achieve commercial growth Track record of engaging and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders Unwavering customer-centric approach with a dedication to ongoing improvement PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THE QUARRY & AGGREGATES OR CEMENT SECTOR MAY HAVE BEEN: Sales Manager, Commercial Manager, Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager
