Business Development Manager / Sales Executive – Scrap Metal Buyer / Trader PACKAGE: £40K – £70K depending on Experience and tonnage, Car, Laptop, and Mobile LOCATION: Opportunities UK wide – We are interested in hearing from Metals Sales Executives and Traders and have a variety of positions available CLIENT Our client is a well-known player in the metals industry; they are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager / Sales Manager / Buyer / Trader / Scrap Metal Buyer / Metal Trader THE ROLE This is a field based role covering the various patches in the UK. As a Trader / Buyer / Business Development Manager, you will be required to succeed in an autonomous environment and source leads through cold calling, field sales, internet research and using your existing contacts within the industry and secure contracts for a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals from industrial plants such as automotive industries, factories, industrial works, manufacturing companies. You will also be responsible for trading the ferrous and non-ferrous material that you have sourced, locating the most profitable outlets. EXPERIENCE Knowledge of metals and the market is highly preferential, as is anyone with a Business Development background or experience as a Buyer or Trader The ideal candidate will: Have experience sourcing, buying or trading scrap metals Be a proven salesperson within a factory context Have an understanding of grading scrap and its value as a commodity Be able to prove previous successes Be able to generate potential leads from day one Have industry contacts of factories and relevant industries Be able to work autonomously in a field based role Be highly motivated Be confident and professional Be a seasoned negotiator Previous Job Titles: Metal Trader / Scrap Metal Buyer / Metal Trader / Scrap Metal Buyer
