You will lead and develop the income collection service, creating a high-performing, customer-focused team that delivers key objectives aligned to the Corporate Plan. Working closely with Senior Management, the Assistant Director-Finance and the Rent Compliance Group, you will oversee income performance, risk management, rent-setting compliance, assurance reporting, complaints, budgeting, forecasting and effective performance measures.

You will build strong internal and external relationships, working collaboratively with senior managers and partner organisations to improve services, generate efficiencies and support residents. As a subject matter expert in income management across all tenures, you will keep pace with legislation, best practice and emerging innovation, leading projects and service improvements that strengthen financial inclusion, ethical debt management and tenancy support.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

We are looking for an experienced and confident manager, educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant experience, ideally with CIH Level 4 or above. You will combine strong legislative and service knowledge with excellent customer focus, sound judgement and the ability to work well under pressure. As a natural leader, you will balance support with performance challenge, motivate teams to deliver high-quality, tenant-led services, build confidence in others and work effectively with colleagues at all levels, including Senior Management and the Board. Solutions-focused and ambitious for improvement, you will challenge mediocrity, contribute ideas proactively and lead an efficient, high-performing team that adds real value for customers.
