Key Responsibilities TIG Welding: Perform high-precision GTAW/TIG welding on thin-gauge sheet metal (typically 0.5mm to 3mm / 24 ga to 11 ga) in stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. Fabrication & Assembly: Set up, clamp, tack-weld, and assemble components according to engineering blueprints, schematic drawings, and welding symbols. Material Prep & Finishing: Degrease, clean, brush, and prep joints prior to welding; dress, grind, blend, and finish completed welds to specified surface standards (e.g., cosmetic/architectural finishes or sanitary specs). Machine Setups: Adjust TIG machine parameters (amperage, high frequency, pulse, shielding gas flow, tungsten selection) tailored to material type and thickness.
