My client is an award-winning premier UK technical production house and technology leader, specialising in engineered power distribution and integrated technology solutions. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects, they are looking to recruit a fully qualified Electrician to join their expanding team.

This is a mobile role, not a static site-based position. You will work across a variety of commercial and corporate environments around the London area, supporting the delivery of high-quality electrical installations on a range of exciting projects. Travel will vary depending on project requirements, and occasional overnight stays will be required.

Working closely with experienced Project Managers and an in-house Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering electrical installations to the highest standards. The role will primarily involve working as part of a two-person team, with opportunities to support and mentor apprentice engineers as you become established within the business.

Your Responsibilities

  • Installing and terminating electrical systems within commercial environments.
  • Installing containment systems including tray, basket, conduit and trunking.
  • Carrying out 1st and 2nd fix electrical installations.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and installation plans.
  • Testing and fault-finding on electrical systems.
  • Ensuring all works are completed in line with current regulations and company standards.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, site teams and other engineers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of an apprentice engineer.
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship, health & safety and attention to detail on every project.
  • Travelling to customer sites as required, including occasional overnight stays.

You Will Have

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • ECS Gold Card.
  • Experience working within commercial electrical installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent practical and organisational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Willingness to travel as required for project work.

Desirable Experience

  • 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
  • Experience working within AV, data or integrated technology environments.
  • IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
  • Experience with structured cabling and network infrastructure.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Experience mentoring apprentices or junior engineers.
