We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Architectural Technologist to join our design team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between creative architectural design and practical, physical reality. You will be responsible for transforming conceptual designs into detailed, construction-ready technical drawings, navigating building regulations, and ensuring our projects are structurally sound, sustainable, and buildable.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of building anatomy, material performance, and construction technology, paired with advanced proficiency in modern BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Design & Documentation
- Translate conceptual and schematic architectural designs into comprehensive working drawings, construction details, and specifications.
- Produce detailed 2D drawings and complex 3D BIM models using software such as Revit or ArchiCAD.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks on technical documentation to minimize errors and omissions before contract bidding and construction.
- Compliance & Contract Administration
- Ensure all architectural designs comply with local building regulations, planning policies, health and safety legislation, and environmental sustainability standards.
- Prepare and submit applications for planning permission and building regulations approval.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and evaluate incoming contractor bids.
- Collaboration & Site Support
