My well established Client is urgently recruiting for a proactive and customer-focused IT Technician to join their team for an initial 8 weeks, possibly longer and possibly permanent. Reporting to the Technology Lead and Service Delivery Lead, you'll provide first-line IT support, help maintain their IT infrastructure, and assist with the delivery of technology projects across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line IT support via phone, email and the helpdesk system.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and user issues, escalating where necessary.
  • Manage IT helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.
  • Support user onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, account creation and access management.
  • Maintain IT asset registers, software licences and equipment inventories.
  • Prepare, redeploy and manage IT equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and service providers.
  • Monitor mobile device and router usage and carry out routine system maintenance.
  • Support IT projects and attend company sites when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide general IT support across the business.
About You
  • Experience in a first-line IT support or IT technician role.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and support ongoing improvements.

This role is fully onsite and there may be a need to work at weekends which will be paid at 1.5 the agreed hourly rate.
