Your New Role
My Client is a leading provider of audiovisual solutions, committed to enhancing communication and collaboration through cutting-edge technology. They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level Audio Visual (AV) Engineer to join a dynamic team on a specific Project basis. As an entry level AV Engineer, you will assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of AV systems, gaining hands-on experience with the latest technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the AV industry and develop their technical skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and racking of AV equipment, including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing devices.
- Handle cabling tasks, including running and terminating HDMI, Ethernet, and USB cables.
- Set up and configure AV connections for televisions, monitors, and other display devices.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of AV systems, ensuring optimal performance and resolving technical issues.
- Support senior engineers with system testing, configuration, and quality assurance.
- Conduct site surveys to determine AV requirements and assist in the design of customised AV solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and industry trends to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
You Will Have
- Basic understanding of AV systems and components would be a distinct advantage, as would any knowledge of the following; racking, cabling, HDMI, Ethernet, and USB.
- Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, as needed, to support events and installations.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
