Overview
We are seeking experienced AV Engineers to support an upcoming decommissioning programme. The first phase will cover sixteen sites within the Greater Anglia region, involving the removal, inspection, and return of digital signage and related AV hardware. Engineers will work in teams of two, consisting of a Team Lead and an Engineer, responsible for carrying out overnight site work within strict access windows.
Responsibilities
- Decommission and remove digital signage systems including displays, players, brackets, and associated cabling that is not hardwired
- Inspect and assess all removed equipment for potential re-use, following provided criteria
- Package and label reusable hardware for return to warehouse for refurbishment and redeployment
- Safely dispose of any redundant hardware or materials in accordance with project and site guidelines
- Ensure all work areas are left clean, safe, and compliant with site standards
- Coordinate access with on-site representatives and attend any required site induction or sign-in process
- Complete decommissioning reports, asset logs, and photographic documentation for each site
- Liaise with the project manager and scheduling team to confirm site completion and next-day readiness
Requirements
- Proven background in AV installation, service, or decommissioning work
- Experience working on live operational sites or time-sensitive rollout projects
- Full UK driving licence required for Team Leads with transit sized van
- Ability to work nights and travel between sites as required
- Strong attention to detail and a professional approach to client interaction
