What You'll Be Doing: You'll be responsible for the safe collection and delivery of packaged hazardous and non hazardous waste across the UK, operating Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:
- Safely transporting packaged hazardous and non hazardous waste from customer and supplier sites across the UK, ensuring timely and secure deliveries
- Ensuring full compliance with ADR regulations, transport legislation, health and safety standards, and company policies
- Accurately maintaining documentation, including waste transfer notes, to ensure regulatory traceability
- Working closely with the wider transport team to coordinate routes, schedules, and vehicle usage
- Strictly adhering to health & safety guidelines, ensuring the correct and safe use of vehicles, equipment, and PPE
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and promptly reporting any defects
- Liaising with site personnel and customers to ensure smooth handovers and resolve any delivery or access issues
- Using and maintaining equipment such as pumps, hoses, or spill kits where required
- Assisting with loading and unloading, securing loads correctly, and following all PPE requirements
This role requires professionalism, responsibility, and a strong commitment to safe, compliant transport operations.
Who We're Looking For:
- Essential: Valid HGV Class 1 or HGV Class 2 licence, CPC qualification, Digital Tachograph (Digi Tacho) card, Previous driving experience preferred - however, newly qualified drivers are also encouraged to apply
- Desirable: Experience within hazardous waste, industrial services, or environmental industries, Familiarity with packaged waste handling or related sectors, ADR certification
