We’re looking for an experienced, practical and people-focused Deputy Property Manager to support the day-to-day care of our hotels. Working closely with the Property Manager, you’ll help oversee maintenance operations across all areas of the business, ensuring everything from guest rooms and public spaces to spas, pools and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standards. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, leading others, and taking a proactive, preventative approach to property care. We are looking for individuals that could carry a range of skills and experience that could include – electrical, carpentry and plumbing. We are open to hearing from individuals that may be looking for a part time role; this position will require weekend work and occasional evening cover.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Support and guide the maintenance team & Property Manager
- Deliver proactive and preventative maintenance programmes
- Manage maintenance schedules
- Champion sustainable ways of working and safety compliance
- Coordinate contractors and support projects
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Supervise rotas, training and team development with mentorship & guidance
- Work collaboratively with other departments
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Trade qualification or significant senior maintenance experience
- Broad practical skill set including strong carpentry knowledge
- Experience in hospitality or similar environment preferred
