Red Hat Consulting is seeking a Virtualization Architect specialized in migration projects to join our EMEA delivery team. The primary responsibility of the Red Hat Virtualization Architect is to passionately drive the adoption of Red Hat's virtualization solutions in our key customers. Through a series of interactions both in-person and remote, the Virtualization Architect will win the trust and confidence of their engineering, development and operations teams by aligning their requirements and use cases with the functional capabilities of the solution. The Virtualization Architect will have thorough working knowledge and hands-on experience with Openshift and OpenStack based virtualization infrastructures.
Successful candidates will bring a wealth of industry experience and domain expertise to play a leading role in the design and project delivery of these business critical solutions, and therefore will need a strong working knowledge of Agile project methodologies, as well as DevOps models and technologies. The Red Hat Virtualization Architect will also play a critical role in bringing together cross-functional teams from Red Hat's product business units, product engineering, support, consulting, and sales to meet the needs of these demanding customers. He/She will act as a customer advocate with these organizations to architect the right solutions and to ensure that those solutions are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way.
What You Will Do
- Winning the confidence of our prospective customers through the successful delivery of discovery, analysis and design workshops that shape and influence the customer's use cases and architecture design decisions to align with the Red Hat solution.
- Designing and scoping delivery projects as well as leading consulting teams through successful customer pilot and production deployments.
- The design, creation and delivery of content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell (pre-sales), service (consulting) and support (CEE) our Virtualization solutions at scale.
- Work closely with product business units, product engineering, consulting, support, and sales to ensure a world-class customer experience with Red Hat's products.
- Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat's services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk.
- Demonstrate thought leadership by producing world-class white papers, webinars, etc. and speaking at industry leading conferences.
What You Will Bring
- Degree in Electrical, Telecommunications or other network-related Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Broad and deep technical experience with virtualization technologies based on Openshift and Openstack.
- Strong experience in storage solutions for virtualization systems.
- Advanced knowledge in automation technologies, preferably Ansible.
- Strong background in consultative customer engagements.
- Proven track record of working in a strategic advisory capacity to senior business executives.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
- Solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple products and services.
- Proven ability to work seamlessly with distributed cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers.
- The ability to self-study and quickly learn and put into practice new topics.
- Willingness to travel weekly to client locations throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.
