The Red Hat EMEA Services team is looking for a Project Manager - UK Public Sector to join our team in the U.K. and Ireland (UKI). In this role, you will manage services projects in the region from initiation through to delivery and closure, helping customers realise the full value of Red Hat’s open technologies and open delivery approaches. You will enable public sector organisations to deliver sustainable, secure, and user-focused technology change, embedding collaboration and agility at their core.

What you will do:

  • Spur and incept new approaches to technology delivery with Red Hat Public Sector customers; utilising agile and open ways of working
  • Guide project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for Red Hat’s services projects with minimal direction
  • Handle project requirements, scope, and change management issues; ensure adherence to legally binding requirements
  • Facilitate the development of recommended project control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking projects through an integration of various project management tools
  • Serve as an ongoing point of contact for customer delivery, throughout customer engagements
  • Work with customers to design, plan, and carry out their deliveries with Red Hat Consulting; on larger engagements, help customers in complex delivery to achieve success
  • Share industry trends and new approaches, contributing thought leadership, innovate our current thinking and develop new approaches to change how organisations and teams deliver software and systems
  • Travel to customer locations throughout UKI with occasional travel throughout the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)

What you will bring:

  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills
  • Experience working in customer-facing positions
  • Strong experience delivering offerings
  • Highly motivated with a solid minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a project management role managing complex IT-based projects
  • Ability to use methods which support agile teams is a must; ideally with a qualification(s) in a methodology or methodologies which complement an agile delivery style
  • Knowledge of project management processes and experience with revenue-based project reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the technical impact on offerings from a supportability, scalability, and repeatability points of view, as well as the business impact on Red Hat and customers in delivering and scoping projects
  • Ideally have experience of operating within UK Government customers
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
