RedGreen Partners are looking to attract an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation in a newly created role. The business is based in Greater Manchester. Reporting to the People Director, and operating within a unionised environment, you’ll lead the ER function and play a key role in shaping the organisation’s approach to industrial relations, trade union engagement, collective consultation, TUPE and organisational change. You’ll also oversee complex employee relations matters and support the development of a high-performing ER team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead employee and industrial relations activity within a unionised environment
  • Build strong relationships with trade unions and employee representatives
  • Manage complex ER casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance and investigations
  • Act as the subject matter expert on TUPE and organisational change
  • Support restructures, redundancies and consultation processes
  • Coach and develop ER team members
  • Ensure ER policies, procedures and governance remain robust and compliant

About you:

You’ll be a suitably experienced ER specialist keen to take the lead on employee and industrial relations within a complex, fast paced, unionised environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation where ER has real strategic importance and where your expertise will directly influence business decisions, employee outcomes and organisational change. You will be a confident and commercially minded ER professional who enjoys operating at a senior level, building strong relationships with trade unions and stakeholders, and leading on complex casework, consultation activity and TUPE.
