On behalf of one of our key partners, we now have a new opportunity for a Lead React Engineer to join a project based in Sheffield. The initial contract is for 6 months, with potential for extension. This role is to start ASAP and will require hybrid working (2–3 days per week in the office in Sheffield).
Specific skills/experience required:
- Strong experience building production-grade web applications using React
- Proven ability to debug and enhance existing codebases, including layout fixes, feature improvements, and defect resolution
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture and system design, including state management, component design, data fetching, caching, and performance optimisation
- Experience delivering accessible and inclusive user interfaces (WCAG-aligned practices)
- Strong knowledge of testing approaches (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and overall code quality best practices
