We are seeking an experienced Software Architect with deep expertise across AWS, Java, and Python to lead the design and delivery of large-scale, enterprise-grade solutions. This role requires someone who can confidently bridge the gap between senior stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication, strategic alignment, and successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end architectural design for complex systems built on AWS.
- Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide architectural guidance, design reviews, and governance across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure solutions meet security, performance, and compliance standards.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, offering commercially minded insights that support business outcomes.
- Create documentation, architectural roadmaps, and technical specifications.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Software Architect within enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on background in AWS architecture, cloud-native services, and distributed systems.
- Expertise in Java and Python, with the ability to guide engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Commercially savvy, with strong understanding of cost optimisation and delivering value.
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) – must have lived in the UK for the required period.
