RED Global is looking for a Lead Android developer in London, Freelancer – 3 months +
Experience: 6 + years
Contract Type: Freelance - Full-time (on-site at client location)
Location: London, UK
Role: Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable Android applications. You’ll mentor developers, define best practices, and oversee end-to-end delivery from development to Play Store release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor Android team; ensure code quality
- Build scalable apps using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK
- Define architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Backend teams
- Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs and third-party SDKs
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and release processes
- Ensure performance, security, and app stability
Requirements:
- 10+ years Android experience, including leadership
- Strong in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, RxJava/Coroutines
- Experience with CI/CD, testing (JUnit, Espresso), and Git
- Knowledge of Firebase/Analytics, Play Store processes
- Familiar with Agile (Scrum) and mobile security
