Job Description
We’re supporting a large banking programme that’s looking for an experienced Endevor Administrator to join their mainframe team.
You’ll play a key role in managing and supporting CA Endevor environments, ensuring stable releases, smooth deployments, and high system reliability across multiple LPARs.
📍 Location: Manchester (2 days onsite per week)
⏳ Duration: 6 months (with extensions likely)
What you’ll do:
- Administer and maintain CA Endevor environments
- Manage version control and change management for mainframe applications
- Create and maintain processor groups, element types, and exits
- Perform upgrades, installations, and configuration of Endevor software
- Automate deployments, shipments, and archiving
- Support developers and provide Endevor guidance
- Monitor system performance and maintain documentation
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in Endevor administration or mainframe support
- Strong skills in JCL, TSO/ISPF, REXX, and CLIST
- Familiarity with ACF2 or RACF for security administration
- Experience with automation and scripting
- Good understanding of COBOL, JCL, or other mainframe languages
