We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to join a high-impact Data & Analytics team supporting strategic initiatives for a customer in the Insurance sector. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, driving the successful delivery of data-driven solutions, including modern data platforms, ETL pipelines, and business intelligence reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and formalize business requirements for the implementation of Data & Analytics projects with ETL and Data Visualization tools.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Design and execute test strategies, including building test books and validating solutions against business requirements.
- Act as Project Manager for smaller initiatives and PMO for larger, more complex programmes.
- Support the Data & Analytics technical leader in the implementation of a new Data Platform based on MS Fabric.
- Ensure alignment between stakeholders, technical teams, and business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in data processes, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
Skills
Must have
- 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst within the Insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of the insurance lifecycle (policy, underwriting, claims, etc.).
- Proven experience working on Data & Analytics projects (ETL, reporting, dashboards).
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management / PMO, including planning and tracking delivery.
- Solid SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with Data Engineers and technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, proactivity, and problem-solving capabilities.
Nice to have
- Working experience in Commercial insurance or ReInsurance.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric data platform.
- Knowledge of ETL tools such as Alteryx or Microsoft Data Factory.
- Knowledge of Data Visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
