Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client is seeking a DQA Engineer for a freelance B2B contract expected to last 6 months, with potential extensions. 3 days on‑site and 2 days remote (hybrid).
Skills and Responsibilities
- Strong experience in quality assurance for data pipelines, APIs, and ETL workflows, preferably in financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Design and execute test plans for complex data workflows, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Good understanding of modern testing methodologies such as TDD and BDD.
- Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Behave, unittest) and scripting languages such as Python or Java.
- Knowledge of data validation techniques, schema checks, and data integrity testing for structured and semi‑structured data.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and services like S3, Glue, Lambda, EventBridge and Step Functions.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps workflows.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with developers, data engineers, and business analysts.
- Experience with Agile software delivery and QA best practices.
