We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our facilities and ensure a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained environment for all staff and visitors. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong organisational and leadership skills, with responsibility for managing maintenance, contractors, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily facilities operations including maintenance, cleaning, and health & safety.
- Manage and coordinate external contractors, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment, identifying and addressing maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including health & safety policies and risk assessments.
- Support budget management by monitoring expenses and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
- Respond promptly to facility‑related issues and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Lead and support facilities staff, providing guidance and performance management where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, or property management role (supervisory experience preferred).
- Good knowledge of health & safety regulations and building compliance standards.
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in basic IT systems and reporting tools.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent) are desirable.
