We're hiring Motor Claims Handlers to join our expanding insurance team in Bolton, Greater Manchester. ABOUT THE ROLE: Motor Claims Handler You'll manage First Notification of Loss (FNOL) and Accidental Damage motor insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement. You'll build strong relationships with policyholders, assess liability and damage, coordinate repairs, and ensure claims are processed efficiently, fairly, and in compliance with FCA regulations. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: * Handle FNOL motor claims, gathering accurate information and setting customer expectations Assess and process Accidental Damage claims, coordinating with engineers, repairers, and third parties * Manage your caseload effectively, ensuring timely progression and quality outcomes * Build rapport with policyholders, providing clear communication and exceptional customer service * Investigate liability, validate policy coverage, and make informed settlement decisions * Use claims management systems confidently to document case notes and track claim status * Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to resolve complex claims Identify fraud indicators and escalate concerns appropriately WHAT YOU'LL NEED: * Motor claims handling experience (FNOL and/or Accidental Damage) * Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Confident using computer systems and managing multiple cases simultaneously Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Desirable: Working towards CII qualification (Chartered Insurance Institute) we'll fully support you Knowledge of motor insurance policy terms and conditions * Desirable: Experience with claims management software (e.g., SSP, Acturis, or similar) WHAT YOU'LL GET: Competitive salary: £23,600 to £30,000 depending on experience Sociable hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (35 hours per week) Flexible and hybrid working options available Free on-site parking Bonus incentives and performance rewards Birthday day off Full support to gain CII and other industry qualifications Clear career progression pathways Supportive culture focused on growth, development, and wellbeing Modern office environment with excellent facilities LOCATION & COMMUTE: Bolton, Greater Manchester easily accessible from Manchester, Bury, Salford, Wigan, and across the North West.
