We're recruiting a Trainee Claims Handler for an established general insurer just outside Bolton. You'll join as a Customer Service Advisor and be trained and developed into a full Claims Handler, managing household property claims from first notification through to settlement. No insurance experience needed. This is a genuine trainee claims handler route — structured training, funded qualifications, and a clear path into a technical insurance career. What you need is a solid customer service background and the willingness to learn the claims side properly. Once you're trained, as a Claims Handler you'll: Assess policy cover and validate claims (full training provided) Gather the documents and details needed to progress each claim Liaise with contractors and suppliers This isn't a scripted contact centre seat. You take ownership of claims and build real technical knowledge over time.
