A fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator to join a busy and expanding company in St Albans. This role will provide a link between design, projects and purchasing. You will create, monitor and report on all current material movements, purchasing status and assist the projects team in providing accurate information relating to the projects in hand. Key Responsibilities
- Assists in all aspects of project purchasing from initial enquiries to suppliers to order placement and cost tracking
- Ensure clear and concise information is always available and that the process remains transparent
- Build strong relationships with key supply chain and act in the business's interest when helping to develop new relationships
- Co-ordinate, resolve and manage supplier issues, delays, non-conformance and compliance so that the jobs proceed promptly and to contracted dates
- Providing relevant information to Management team when required to prioritise projects or highlight when additional support or resources are required
- Liaise with colleagues in all departments and where necessary, personally requesting necessary information to confirm drawing and material availability as well as delivery and installation dates
- Help co-ordinate the internal movement of material between suppliers to ensure that a compliant project is delivered, sufficient resource is available, and contract dates are met
- Support the projects team in complying with customer and internal reporting timetables, both monthly and at random request
