We have an excellent opportunity for a semi-senior/senior accountant to join a well-established accountancy practice in St Albans. It is a family run firm offering full accounting, taxation and payroll solutions to a wide range of clients. They pride themselves on providing a professional, efficient and friendly service, tailored to their clients' individual needs.
As a semi-senior/senior accountant you will have your own client base as well as a variety of other work to undertake. You will be expected to build relationships with those clients, supporting and understanding their specific needs to help them get the most out of their business. You will oversee the bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts, statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns for your clients (amongst other tasks as required) with a combination of performing the work yourself and will have the opportunity to work towards reviewing the work done by others.

- 2+ years practice experience
- Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise work to ensure all deadlines are met
- Strong use of Excel and Word
- Competent use of Xero, Quickbooks and Sage
- ACA or ACCA part or fully qualified
- 5 4-9 grade GCSEs (or equivalent) including mathematics
- 3 A-C grade A-levels (or equivalent)
- Experience of both personal and corporate tax and accounting
