We are recruiting for a Customer Support Advisor to join a successful and growing company based in St Albans. Our client is one of the leading players in their field and is recognised for their high levels of customer service. They're a friendly, sociable company with a relaxed yet professional atmosphere.

As a Customer Support Advisor, you will be responding to all incoming client queries through live chat or telephone – taking full ownership of queries and seeing them through to resolution. Please note: this role will need to be fully office-based for the first six months. After training, this position will become hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

What’s in it for you?

  • Salary: £25k-£30k depending on experience
  • Hours: Rota across 7 days to include evenings and weekends (earliest start 7.30am, latest finish 10pm)
  • Weekend shifts are alternating, with one week on followed by one week off.
  • New joiners will be assigned a week of either all early, mid or late shifts.
  • Shifts are as follows:
    • Early: 7:30am – 4pm
    • Mid: 11:30am – 8pm
    • Late: 1:30pm – 10pm
  • 25 days holiday (increasing to 30 after 2 years)

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to customer queries in a timely and professional manner via telephone, live chat and email
  • Develop proficient product knowledge with an understanding of pricing and business rules, taking full ownership of queries and seeing them through to resolution
  • Create automation/self-service help tools for clients to speed up the customer service process and future proof the business
  • Answering (within set service levels) inbound generated calls from clients following internal processes
  • Support with new account openings
  • This role will also be a key part of the improvement of products and services, by reporting direct feedback obtained during client interactions

  • Experience working in a Customer Service office-based position, with a focus on being timely and responsive in your approach
  • Good sporting interest and current knowledge across a range of major sports and events
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills with strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Available to work evenings and weekends to cover live sporting events – this team operates 7 days per week including Bank Holidays
