Mould Making & Industrialisation Manager – FRP / Composites Location: Bahrain Full-time | Permanent | Senior Technical Leadership We are recruiting an experienced Mould Making & Industrialisation Manager to join an established international manufacturing group in Bahrain. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong, hands-on leader to take ownership of composite mould and tooling development, while also overseeing the introduction of new products into production. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in FRP mould making, tooling design, pattern making, CNC machining and composite manufacturing, along with the ability to lead and develop a skilled technical and production team. The Role You will be responsible for managing the complete mould and tooling process, from initial concept and design through material selection, manufacturing, testing and production release. A key part of the position will involve identifying the most efficient and cost-effective methods of manufacturing moulds and tooling, including CNC machining, robotic machining, traditional pattern making and hybrid manufacturing techniques. You will oversee the design and manufacture of plugs, patterns, moulds, jigs and fixtures, ensuring each tool meets the required quality, cost, lead time and production life. Alongside tooling development, you will lead the industrialisation of new FRP, UHPC and GRC products, taking them from engineering release through prototyping, trials and into stable, repeatable production. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, optimise cycle times and ensure successful product launches. The position also involves managing and developing a multi-skilled team of mould making engineers, pattern makers, tooling carpenters, CNC operators and robotic machining specialists. About You We are looking for an experienced composite tooling professional with a strong technical background and proven leadership experience. You should have at least 10 years' experience within FRP/composite mould making and tooling, together with approximately 5 years' experience managing technical or manufacturing teams. You will have a thorough understanding of composite mould design, tooling materials, resin systems, gelcoats, reinforcement materials and manufacturing processes such as hand lay-up, vacuum infusion, RTM and prepreg. Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining, robotic machining, CAD/CAM systems and traditional pattern making techniques will be particularly valuable. You should also be comfortable reviewing engineering drawings, assessing manufacturing feasibility, estimating tooling costs and managing projects from concept through to production. Experience within marine, aerospace, automotive, architectural composites, industrial FRP or other sectors involving complex or large-scale composite tooling would be highly relevant. A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials or Composite Engineering would be advantageous.
