The Role:
As HSE Manager, you will take full accountability for the company-wide HSE function, leading a multinational team of 20+ HSE professionals and managing health, safety, and environmental standards across both manufacturing facilities and active construction sites. This is a strategic leadership role requiring vision, authority, and hands-on expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Lead and mentor a team of 20+ HSE professionals across various operational units
- Oversee all HSE activities from a corporate-wide perspective, ensuring consistent implementation across departments and projects
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory standards and liaise with external agencies and authorities
- Manage HSE risk across both manufacturing operations and construction sites
- Design, author, and maintain comprehensive HSE manuals and procedural documentation
- Investigate incidents, manage corrective actions, and track performance metrics
- Deliver company-wide HSE training and awareness campaigns
- Report to executive leadership on HSE performance and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is essential
- Chartered Membership of a recognised HSE body (e.g., IOSH, IIRSM) highly preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in a senior HSE leadership role, preferably across manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors
- Proven experience managing large teams (20+) and working within multicultural, international environments
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing company-wide HSE systems, not just department-specific programs
- Strong command of regional compliance and cross-cultural competency across the Middle East or similar regions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead, influence, and drive a culture of safety
