Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the Marine Design Department to clarify and address any queries on production drawings.
– Interpret and execute basic technical drawings
– Assist in de-moulding parts from moulds and assembling parts and panels as per instructions.
– Participate in various aspects of the lamination process.
– Ensure all tools and machinery are functioning correctly, reporting any issues to the HSE officer immediately.
– Conduct visual inspections of moulds and oversee the building and assembling of parts and panels.
– Ensure adequate resources in terms of manpower and materials, communicating any delays or additional needs to the Production Coordinator and Planner.
– Lead and train the workforce, ensuring full compliance with all aspects of the boat build.
Skills and Experience Required:
– 3-5 years of experience in boat building / marine / aerospace / similar manufacturing with a strong focus on composite materials and the processes involved
– At least 2 years proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
