Location: Berkshire

Salary: £4(Apply online only) - £5(Apply online only) depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

We have been retained by a globally recognised technology leader in advanced composites automation and digital manufacturing, delivering high-performance composite solutions across the Aeronautics, Space, Defence and Marine sectors, to recruit a Manufacturing/Design Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities to include:

  • Supporting production of feasibility studies and building commercial proposals while balancing technical innovation with commercial reality
  • Development of engineering solutions
  • Developing and optimising composite manufacturing processes
  • Troubleshoot production and process issues
  • Supporting project related activities:
  • Applying CAD, CAM, FEA and nesting tools on some of the most advanced projects in the sector
  • Design of tooling
  • Planning and supervising process qualification
  • Interaction with project stakeholders: clients, internal relationships, suppliers, certification.
  • Participating in identifying and developing technology for targeted opportunities
  • What you will need to bring:

    • Degree in Mechanical / Materials Engineering or other relevant degrees/qualification
    • No less than 3 years engineering experience in composite materials
    • Strong understanding of composite manufacturing processes and shop floor environments along with a hands-on approach
    • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
    • Problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills
