Are you passionate about aviation, advanced manufacturing, and composite structures? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Composite Design Draftsman to join a leading aviation manufacturing company and contribute to the design and production of world-class aircraft components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings for composite components and assemblies
  • Develop mould layouts, tooling drawings, trim templates, and production documentation
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, tooling, and production teams
  • Support composite manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain engineering documentation, revision control, and drafting standards

Minimum Requirements:

  • N4/N5 qualification or higher in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 2–4 years' experience in composite drafting or modelling
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Understanding of composite materials, layup processes, mould design, and cure cycles
  • Strong attention to detail and engineering documentation skills

Advantageous:

  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, marine, or automotive industries
  • Composite tooling, surfacing, or trim fixture design experience
  • Familiarity with vacuum bagging, infusion, and wet layup methods
  • Exposure to CNC pattern-making or nesting software
  • Hands-on composite manufacturing experience
