We are currently hiring an Outpatient Nurse in our clients new state of the art hospital in the beautiful Caribbean. You will be responsible for pro-actively managing and coordinating patients’ entry into and through the health care process. you will also work closely with administration, nursing, medical and non medical staff and the patient to ensure the needs of the patient are addressed, tracked and met.
Responsibilities
- Point of contact for the patient, from onset of care to completion of care.
- Acts as the patient liaison between the medical and non-medical staff.
- Collaborates with all hospital staff to ensure patient safety, and a service of excellence for the patient is obtained.
- Assist the Physicians in patient care such as history taking, taking vitals, IV Placement, sterile technique, explanation of the medical/surgical treatment plan decided by the Physician and provide knowledge of the medical/surgical procedure and expected outcomes to the patients.
- Participate in hospital performance improvement activities to improve safety and patient outcome.
Requirements
- GNM / B.Sc / BSN in nursing and minimum 4 or more years’ of experience in relevant field.
- Must be a registered nurse with the NMC in the UK
- Must be computer proficient and have strong understanding of JCI Process and protocols
- Good English spoken & written, Spanish language advantageous/desirable, but not essential.
