We are seeking dedicated and experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine from the United Kingdom to join our client’s private hospital on a beautiful Caribbean island. The ideal candidate will provide expert emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment, upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical attention, resuscitation, and stabilization for patients presenting with acute illnesses or trauma
- Perform diagnostic assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with other specialists.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, residents, and nursing personnel in emergency protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transition of care for admitted or referred patients.
- Remain on‑call for emergency situations as needed, including during mass casualty events or public health emergencies.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine (e.g., ABEM, CCFP‑EM, or equivalent).
- Must be registered with GMC in the UK
- Valid and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in the Cayman Islands.
- Minimum 3–5 years of post‑residency experience in a high‑volume emergency department.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification required.
